Apple announces new iPod nano and touch models

themed_apple Among the release of the iPhone / iPod touch firmware 3.1 and the release of iTunes 9.0, Apple has announced a new iPod nano to the market, available as of today.
The new iPod nano supports a slightly larger 2.2 inch display, upgrading from 2 inches. The newest feature is the sporty camera, fixed to the back of the device. The 640x480 VGA camera mounted to the back only records video and does not double as a still camera.

The new iPod nano also comes with an integrated microphone for recording audio, found on the side of the device, also including a speaker for playback on both audio and video. The updated nano also comes with a built-in pedometer and FM radio for easily listening on the go.

The iPod touch is also now offered at $199 (8GB), $299 (32GB), and $399 (64GB). The 32GB and 64GB are both new products and come with Voice Control, currently not available on the 8GB Touch, and a new set of earphones with remote and mic.
